I will always be there for you!

If there is anything I can do for you, you only have to say;

Whenever your in need of help, I will help in any way.

 You can count on me to be there at the end of the day!

 I will never forget how you helped me out, for that I owe you a gratitude I will one day repay!

 You only have to say the word and I will do what I can!

I mean what i say!

Then come the bad times, the turmoil and dismay;

Time to put into action the promises they say;

Then the pledge to be there for you

Night and day, clarifies to ordinarily I would but I just cant help today!

I've got my own problems and bills to pay.

I wish I could help but not today!

Not wanting to tell you directly to go away, you sense the intention as politely they make excuses of why they cannot stay; with a half hearted wish that it will all be ok and hope you find another way.

Lets meet up soon they say.

Vague and non comittal to arrange a day;

You turn to watch as they scurry away,

Knowing they will keep you at bay;

 until the dark clouds and rainy days pass away;

Only will they return when the sun shines again; to bask in the rays and warmth of your bright sunny days!
