Beautiful Bulgaria

Beautiful Bulgaria poem of our experience so far....

With the jeep all packed, Lula our dog in the back;
We set off for Bulgaria on 21st June, the euro tunnel booked for the crossing at noon.

The journey of 1800 miles had begun, and the start of a new life for us in the sun.

England to France then France to Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany before we bedded down in a room:

The Next day through Austria able to admire the mountain views, then onto Slovakia and Croatia we did cruise.

The last leg through Serbia with Bulgaria so very near;
We sang along with the radio, high spirited and in good cheer.

The border for the republic of Bulgaria, was now in sight, our final destination we would reach that night!

After 1800 miles driven over three days; at Byala we had arrived, and without a hiccup much to our amaze.

To The warm sun, the glistening blue sea and our new home, Villa Jolee.
A beautiful house that for most can only dream,
now belonged to us and from ear to ear we did beam.
As you can imagine we were estatic, even though for the first night we had no water or electric.
Just little problem, 'Malko problemi' as the Bulgarians say;
And so it was sorted out the very next day.
We had The swimming pool up and running fairly soon after too, as well as the few bits and pieces we needed to do.
The days are spent at the beach and having a fun time;
From the roof terrace we Watch the sunset at 9;
With views of the mountains, countryside, forests and sea, and pretty sunflowers fields  that make all feel so happy;
All pink is the sky when the sun goes down and then the green lights come on and twinkle for the town.
The Black Sea famed for its mussels and  with sea food a plenty,
Guarantee the local restaurants never to be empty. With the shopska salad, shashlic and sach on top, when it comes to dining, Byala has the lot. With so many wild boar roaming the country, pork on every menu you are likely to see.
In every garden grows vegetables of most kind and you can always find, fruit trees of peach, plums, apricot, figs, not to mention the grape laidened vines;
Ensuring Byala always has plenty of fresh fruits, veg, and Raiki and wines.

The thing you need to remember though, when we nod our heads to say yes, in Bulgaria it's reversed and actually means no!
As the night sets in, the stars are bright and a moonlight illuminates everything    And with it comes the many sounds to hear, a frogs chorus, crickets, even the jackals howling from the forests near.
a new day is announced by the cockerels first thing and sunrise is celebrated by the birds who chirp and sing.

Beautiful Byala full of character and charm,
Full of life yet chilled and calm.
July and August when every day is over 30 degrees
This is the place we love to be. This is our home for which we feel blessed and lucky.
We know that dreams really can come true,
So Make it happen as it's down to you  ......
