Last Call for the Good People 

Is it just me! Or do you see it too?

The complete void of people these days who are genuinely good through and through!

By good through and through, I'm not setting the bar as high as Mother Teresa;
         Nor a saint or a martyr!
Just an all round good egg, be it a bird of a geezer!

I dont mean either, one who has never done wrong, never messed up or been a complete shit!

Hey call me generous! A good person I will accept as good even if in the past they were not always honest, or faithful, and even if they have been a downright asshole for a bit!

The caveat to this being they saw the wrong in what they did and if at least it was only to themselves they had acknowledged the wrong and they learned from it!

We live in a dog eat dog world
Where its kill or be killed they say, if you want to survive another day.

But I dont ever recall seeing a dog eat another dog nor have I ever needed to kill or felt that I would be killed in any way so I see this as an excuse for the lack of good people choose to do today!

No one is perfect! I get that! We all make mistakes. We can be selfish and we can all be cruel!

We have all done things we were not proud of.
Good people though will always make it right even if they are made to look a fool!

There are wrongs and there are WRONGS!

There are some wrongs that can be made right like the odd lie, an isolated act of fidelity and even some wrongs that were caused out of spite.

Good people may do these things but they can make it right!

The WRONGS that are done with malicious intend by a perpetrator  whose motive to destroy being hell bent. Wanting to cause maximum damage with complete foresight, is not what good people do as they know without a doubt it just isn't right!

Kindness is not a weakness, at least it never used to be but now I fear to show kindness these days, most just see it as a sign that says “go ahead and take advantage of me”!

As to trust in others unless there is a good reason not to,
Now has come to mean it's your own fault to be screwed by giving benefit of doubt and expecting others to hold the high standards that you do!

Are there many genuinely good people left in the world now in which we live?
In layman's terms, the good ones I define to those who take less, if only a little, but certainly not more than what they give!

Genuinely good people dont do anything for another that they do not want to do!
They do it because they genuinely want to!

Nor do good people  give to you with strings attached,
Or come at a later date to get a payback!

Genuinely good people of course like to hear  a thankyou, but to praise is not necessary for their generosity
As what they did for you, they did for you for your prosperity!

Good people tend to do good things without the telling all and a preference to keep it low key,
They did want they did for you because they wanted to genuinely!

Many are good at posing to be the kind soul you want them to  be,
Appearing to have only your best interest at heart initially!
Only for you to discover later they were not as they seemed.
But don't blame yourself as genuinely good people are few and far between.

In your lifetime you will come across one genuinely good person I hope but this I can not guarantee
But if you do then count your blessings as you would have been most fortunate indeed

As sadly I believe that the genuinely good people are alas a dying breed!
